A lower score does not mean AI automation is impossible. It means the first version should be smaller. Mid-market teams rarely need a six-month transformation program; they need a brutally honest pilot boundary.

Readiness checklist: what to inspect before scoring

1. Workflow value

Start with the business pain, not the model. A workflow is worth scoring when at least one of these is true:
